House Guest and more...

Well this morning started out great. I got up and my youngest, Carolyn was helping me fix breakfast. As I am fixing breakfast we get a call from the Dothan Hospital that my mother-in-law is coming home. Charlie tells them we will be there as soon as we eat breakfast since I was already cooking it. Well we get done and Charlie starts to play around with me and the girls. He was holding the door to the bathroom shut. When Carolyn starts to come thru the towel closet to the bathroom. He leaves the door to play with her. Courtney think her daddy was till holding the door walks away. I start to pick up something I just dropped on the floor when I hear her coming. Before I could say stop or move the door meets my head. All I can remember is turning around and everything going black. When I started seeing again I was sitting in a recline position on the floor holding my head. Charlie started saying "Oh My God Honey". I then know something is wrong he starts grabbing toliet paper to apply to my head so he can get a cold rag. I tell him that I must get calm and get my blood pressure back down so it will stop bleeding. As I start calming down I want to see what it looks like. I stand up and remove the rag and there it is a huge 2 inch slice in my head. It needs stitches I know it does, but I am hard headed. I told him I was not going to get any. I tell Charlie to go get my bandaids from my room and a pair of scissors to cut the sticky off the sides so I can apply to middle of wound. As I then start applying the bandages as butterfly stitches. The whole time I am being told let's go get stitches I keep saying NO.

Well we leave the house and start to Dothan. I as Charlie to stop at the Enterprise Super Wal-Mart to get some supplies to keep my head bandaged and clean. He asks the lady at the drug store what I can take for the pain and the headache I am having with it. She told me because I have alot of problems with my iron in my blood to only take tylenol.

Now we have arrived over in Dothan to pick up my mother-in-law. She has had her surgery and they did a complete shoulder replacement. When they cut her open more was broke than they knew. She is doing great know. She is still in alot of pain, but she is staying with us for awhile. Charlie went and got her recliner and her cloths. Also picked up all her meds and alot of other stuff she was wanting. She was sitting on the couch til Charlie got home and then she tried to get up. Our couch is a lower seated couch so it was hard to get up off the couch. Her and Charlie went outside to sit on the porch, while I took Courtney to Opp to meet her grandmother for the weekend.

Me and Carolyn stopped by the grocery store and picked up so chicken to make hot wings and also some french fries for supper. While me and her was that close to Fred's we stopped and got some new pans that go on a stove around the elements.

So this day has been such a up and down day. If this is a gleams into the next year time just needs to stand still.

Just a little catch up...

Well, Courtney got her cast off back in November. She did not need surgery and it was about 95% healed. Our football team made it to round 2 of the play offs, but we lost round 2. Also  Courtney had to march in the Veteran's Day parade and had to carry the American Flag.

Well for Thanksgiving we had lunch with Charlie's side of the family. Then we had supper with my parents. Carolyn and Vicki stayed with my mother. Me and Courtney went to the Black Friday sales and got a few presents for everyone. Around lunch time we went and picked up Carolyn and Vicki. Then we drove over to Rite Aid in Opp and got Charlie a electric razor and hair clippers for Christmas.


Now hunting season with a gun has started by this point and the dog hunting days are fast approaching. The first day of Dog Hunting was on Wednesday December 1, 2010. Around 8 AM I get a picture text from Charlie he has killed a doe. Then around 3 PM I get another picture text and it is a huge buck. It was such a great hunting day for him. We took the buck to have it mounted. It will be sometime in the Spring before it is ready to pick up.


Well this week did not start off that great. I get a call on December 13, 2010 around 2PM. Telling me to come to the Andalusia Regional Hospital. My mother-in-law has been rushed to ER due to a fall. She was heading into the Family Dollar and the lady she sits with started to fall and she was going to catch her. Well she did not catch her the lady push her and fell on top of her. She was in X-Ray when i got there. She has a broke shoulder. The ball that is in there is broke all the way off. and she has a broke hip. They sent her home with it immobilized. Then next day my sister-in-law took her to Dothan and they put a cast on her. Now on December 16, 2010 Carolyn had a AR reading party. She had to take a Christmas card to be mailed to our soldiers overseas. Then the next day was the last day of school. Carolyn had to take candy for her party. Vicki had to take candy and chips. Also had to bring a present for a little girl. She took nail polish. School bus ran at the house around 12:30pm. Then Courtney and Vicki went down to their granny's house for the weekend.


Now we are to this past week. Tuesday December 21, 2010 my sister-in-law took my mother-in-law back to Dothan they removed the ast and sent her home til after the Holidays.On Wednesday December 22, 2010. I took the girls to my mother's house. They made cupcakes and decorated them like Santa. Then on Thursday Charlie come home about 8 PM. Then Christmas EVE, we all get up kinda early. Charlie and the girls wrap my Christmas presents they bought for me. They decided to give me one of my gifts early. It was a brand NEW bedspread set. It is 2 shades of brown and has teal also. Charlie worked on his truck and replaced alot of parts on it. While he was working on his truck I was cooking my part of Christmas supper with his family. We left the house around 4PM heading to Brewton for Christmas with his family. While in Brewton we stopped by the Dollar Tree. Then we headed to Charlie's sister's house. His mother since all this has been staying with his sister. While there Charlie gets to spend some time with her. Now on Christmas morning I get up around 8:30 AM and start Vicki's chicken for Christmas lunch. Also I go ahead and start boiling the eggs for my Deviled eggs everyone loves. Around 9:30 AM Charlie gets up and all the girls have eaten breakfast. We begin to open Christmas presents. The girls loved everything they got. Charlie was surprised at all the stuff he gotten. Well for me, I got a new mixer, mixing boil set, glass cookware set, and the Eclipse movie. About noon we headed over to my mom's house. As soon as we walk thru the door my dad yell about time I am hungry. Let's eat! After stuffing our faces the kids open their gifts. Vicki decided she was going to stay with her grandmother. Well we come home around 5PM. I fall asleep on the couch. I wake up around 7PM. At this point I start to feel really bad. I lean over on Charlie and he noticed I had a fever. We start to think who could have gotten me sick. Then we remembered one of his sisters and his nephew showed up to Christmas sick. So they pasted it on to me. Then Sunday morning I get up around 9:30AM and I am still not feeling good. Still got a fever and my throat hurts. Charlie gets up around 10AM and he is not awake but about 30 mins. when he gets a call from his boss that he has to leave at 3PM heading to work. So that has everyone caught up to date on everything. If I don't post befor the New Year! Everyone have a safe and happy new years.

PLAYOFF BOUND!!!

Well we are PLAYOFF BOUND!! We made it to playoffs for the 2010 Football season. GO TIGERS!!! It has been a busy week this week. Courtney has been practicing so much this week. She is making me so proud of her. She is playing all her music with her cast on. The band has added a new song to our show. They are going to be playing BAD ROMANCE by LADY GAGA!! We are playing DALEVILLE tonight. Yes, we are playing on a Thursday night. Next week we are playing the first game in the playoffs. It is against USM Prepatory. So lets keep our finger crossed. Wish us LUCK!!!

My Beauty Queen!!

Well Carolyn was in her first pageant last night. She was competing for the Little Miss Covington County Fair. She was up against 29 other girls. She was the first on to the stage and she looked great. I told her before we went to get makeup and hair done. She was going to be a QUEEN in my eyes no matter what. She made me proud because she was brave enough to get on that stage and try for the position. When we got there Carolyn walked up and down the stage and made a couple friends. She was so scared and worried. Just looking at her you would have never knew. She took that stage like she was meant to be there. When it came to the end of the contest. They brought all the girls back out and give each one a PINK CARNATION. She stood there and as they called out the winners. You could see her go from excited to upset. I thought she was going to start crying when they did not ever call her number. She looked at me and said I did not win mommy. So since I did not win can I do it again next year and try and get it next year. I told her she could we would hunt all year for her a dress for it.

BROKEN ARM!!

As the post says. My daughter has a BROKEN ARM. She got injured this past Friday night. She was getting back onto the bus after eating at McDonalds. Some older boys where pushing and shoving and push some others into Courtney. She fell forward and her wrist went the opposite way.  She did not know it was broken or anything. They wrapped it up and iced it down. She was unable to play her music because of the injury. She got home around 1am from the game. The bus driver tells me what happens and I check out her hand. They tell me it is a minor sprang just to ice it down. So she slept with a ice pack on it all night. Well needless to say the next morning her arm was still swelled and I was really worried. She was suppose to have already been back at the school to be getting ready to head to Troy University for Band Day. This is when alot of bands come and join the college band on the field and preform for the fans during half time. Well she had to miss it this time. I loaded her up and we headed to the ER. We checked in and there was 5 people in front of us. I thought we was going to be there awhile, but we wasn't before we could get seated. They called her name for us to come to the back. We was in the room about 5 minutes when the nurse came in and found out what was wrong. She then exited the room and about 15 more minutes pasted and a X-Ray Tech came in and got us. We was off to get some x-rays. They took 4 x-rays. Then he took us back to our room and about 25 more minutes pasted by and a DR and a nurse come back in and told us it was broke. The nurse splinted her arm up and wrapped it. They could not put a cast on it due to it was so swelled. During this whole time Courtney is telling me if it was broke she wants a black cast. Well we went this morning to go get our cast and the Peds Orthopedic DR is not able to put on her cast today, because he is doing surgeries. They did unwrap it and rewrap it so her arm would not be moving since alot of the swelling has gone down. They sent us home and told us to be back in the morning at 8AM. They would take a couple more x-rays and put her cast on. As soon as she gets her cast I will take a picture and post it her for you all to see.

Happy Fall Everyone!!

This has been a really busy month. We have gotten moved in and almost completely unpacked now. Courtney has been busy doing band this year. She is marching in the Sound of Gold Band for Straughn School. We have had alot of practices, games and competitions. Also Courtney has broke her arm this month too. It was not her that did it more she got pushed and stomped on tring to get on the bus. Well we go on Monday to get our cast put on. She has choose the color black due to it will match her band uniform.Carolyn is going to be in her first Beauty pageant Monday night. She is entering into the Little Miss Covington County Fair. Vicki has been practicing her music and has decided that she will be playing the Clarinet. Carolyn got all her AR Reading points and got to go to a party this past Friday. Vicki got her points also, but her field trip is this coming Friday. I have also planned on taking the kids to the Scare Crows in the Park over in Opp. We have had a really long month and it is not half over yet. So hope everyone has a great day!! God Bless You All!!

Let's play catch up....

Well since my last post. Courtney my oldest has gotten glasses yet again. Carolyn is having a blast in Indiana working out on the fair. Charlie has started fixing the truck. The rear end went out a couple months back and we have finally gotten one. We are hoping it will be up and running by the end of the weekend. Also my father has just had his complete shoulder replacement. They did the surgery on July 15, 2010. He is in the ICU under observation. Also I took the girls on a girls day out shopping trip on Wednesday July 14, 2010. They got alot of new cloths and almost all the school supplies for school. Monday, we will be going to school to get our school supplies list and lockers. I still have not heard about Carolyn's teaher or supplies for this coming year yet. I got a list of all teachers so I am buying everything from all list. I will be covered then.

Also since I am looking to buy a house. We found one not far from where we live. We are working on getting the down payment for it. Hopefully we will get it before someone else does. It will be nice to be buying a house instead of renting it. My mind is so scattered, so I am trying to remember everything I wanted to write. Since school is about to start my post will start getting to be about the adventures of our schooling soon. This year I have 2 in middle school. Lord help me!! LOL!!

My oldest is still going to be in band. She just loves music so much. She has practiced so much it has got me headaches everyday for the last week. But I look at is that she is doing what she loves so I got to deal with it.

Vicki on the other hand will not be in band. She did not keep her grades up this past year. So this year we will be working on that. She wants to get them pulled back up. So here goes late night studing.

Carolyn is so happy to finally be at the new school by herself with out her sisters. I can not say I blame her. All the teachers compare her to her sisters. She is just getting tired of it.

Me on the other hand I am looking to maybe go back to school for something. I am unsure. I am getting tired of sitting at home and cleaning all the time. But we will have to see how that goes too. Well I have rambled on enough for this post. Hope you have a Blessed Day!!

Looking to Buy a House

We went today to look at a house. It is a 3bedroom 1 bath house. It is kinda small, but it is cute. Charlie called the guy and talked to him about it. He told Charlie if he would come up with the $1,000.00 down and show him his pay check stubs. Then we could have the house. So now we are sitting trying to think of a way to come up with the money for it. Our payment is going to be the same we pay here in rent a month. So that is great. I don't got to budget for that. Just all I got to do is figure out the down payment.

My Trip to Mobile

Well me and my oldest daughter, Courtney went to Mobile Thursday. We was going to spend the weekend out of town to just get out of town for us time. We went to the Hobby Lobby while we was there. We got her some stickers for her notebooks this year. Also got me some new paintbrushes, but they did not put them in the bag. So we had to go back the next day to get them. Courtney wanted to go to the mall. So we went and she bought herself a bracelet and chocker. The bracelet is a pink color with peace signs. The chocker is black with bright pink stones on it. Then our next stop was Books a Million. I had to get the new Stephenie Meyer's book: the short secound life of bree tanner. (No, I spelled it that way, because that is how the title is actually spelled. This is also a first edition. I sat and read the whole book this weekend. It gives such a great look into the Eclipse movie that comes out this week. So Sunday me, Courtney, and Charlie hung out at the shop/office. He took a nap and I washed mine and Courtney's cloths so I was not bring home dirty laundry. LOL! We cook chicken breast last night for supper. Most of the guys who work with Charlie came back down last night. We went to bed kinda early last night due to leaving from down there this morning. Courtney and I loaded the last of our stuff into the car this morning. We filled up the car and headed out about 8AM. We stopped off at a Hardee's and got some breakfast. When we got home and stepped out of the car, I remembered that my mom had the keys to my house. So we had to load up and head over there. We got my keys and headed home. About 2PM we headed back over to get Vicki. She had stayed with my mom while we went down. He had a Great Trip and Hope everyone was SAFE this past weekend. Have a great Night!!

Our PCB Trip to Alvin's Island

Well we left Saturday, June 19, 2010. It was 6:45 AM when we got in the truck. We stopped at my mother's house to drop off my phone. Then we went by Hardee's and got breakfast. Then off we was to PCB. When we got down to PCB. We stopped by Alvin's Island. I took some pictures of the gators. We just had so much fun there. We was trying to spend some time before my parents got there.

Rush, Rush, Rush!!!

Well the count down has begun. My trip is this Saturday. Yep, only 3 days til I head to the beach. Tomorrow is going to be a last minute get what I need day. I will be hitting the road around 7:00AM, that morning. We will be checking into the hotel and going to ShipWreck Island. I have not been there since I was a kid. I always loved it there. Water and Sun always a good combo. I so can not wait. We will be hunting somewhere to get all the kids a sand dollar with thier names on it. Also I wanted to go check out some different stores and just wonder around. We will be getting back on Sunday sometime. Then I will have to go pick up the girls. On Monday morning Charlie will head back to work. Me and the oldest, Courtney will be packing and getting ready for our trip. Our trip starts Wednesday. We are going to go stay in Mobile til either Sunday the 27th or Monday the 28th. We are unsure at this point in time. Vicki said she did not want to go. So she is going to go stay with her granny and pawpaw. I have not heard from Carolyn any this week yet, so I am going to call her later to see what is up. So the next two weeks is going to be busy, usy, busy. Hope you all stay safe and have a great weekend.

Packages and more Packages......

Well the last couple days I have recieved alot of packages from my Swap Bot friends. I got this really cute card. It had a pumpkin and spider web on it. Being my favorite day is Halloween, since you can be anyone or anything you want for that one day. I have taken and put this card up in my memories book. Also with her name. I also have got alot of cool new stuff I can use in my crafts. I am always greatful for anything people send me. I am just glad they do. Have a great day!

Our Last Day of VBS at FBC.

Today is the last day of VBS at FBC. Then tonight is Family Fun night. There is going to be a petting Zoo there tonight. Vicki is excited she loves animals. Courtney is like OK. Charlie will be home sometime today. He is hoping to make it in to see the girls sing at Church tonight. So fingers crossed he makes it. Also today I am going to the grocery store to buy some stuff for our trip next weekend. Plus Charlie wants me to get him some stuff to take to work with him Monday so he don't got to use his debit card much. Have a great day!!

Hey, Mom! I got a surprise!!!

Well as the title says one of my girls has a surprise for me. It was Carolyn. She called me from the eye doctor in Indiana. She is having to get glasses. She is near-sided the doctor said. She has been having problems with her left eye since she was 2 years old. It was turning out if she was not focusing on it. Well she had been saying that stuff looked fuzzy. Needless to say that is why. She has choosen some guess glasses. As soon as they come in and everything. She is going to send me a email with a pic of her wearing them. Our Shopping Trip

Today after VBS I took the girls shopping. They had no idea that they was going to get new bathing suits. My oldest Courtney had been telling me everytime we went to Wal-Mart that she wanted this pink bathing suit. Well when I picked up the kids they kept asking where are we going. I would never tell them. I pretended to not hear them. When we get out the car at Wal-Mart Vicki asked what we getting momma. I told her that she would see in a few mins. We start thru the doors and she asked me again. I told her the same thing from before. Then we start heading to the clothing and Courtney yelled we are getting "OUR BATHING SUITS". She walks around the corner to them and the one she had been wanting was hanging right there. But all of a sudden she changed her mind. She wanted a two piece one. She grabs a Camo bathing suit. This one she asked. I asked her twice and she said yes that was the one she wanted. Then Vicki starts looking for her one. She looks at the one pieces, then at the two pieces. She decided on a two piece. It is Hot pink, and white striped with neon orange that goes around the belly and neck to hold it on. Both of them was very happy for the bathing suits. Well when we left I figured we go by Sonic and grab a ice cream. The girls choose a M&M candy Sundae and a Snickers Sundae. While I got a Banana Split. We sat there and ate it since I will not eat and drive. Well on the way home they wanted to go see nanny and show off thier bathing suits. Well when we get there they want to model them for granny and pawpaw. My dad called Vicki a marshmellow with Stripes. Everyone just laughed. You just got to understand this child is really white. She burns very fast even with sunscreen on she burns. She is pale conplected with sandy blonde hair and blue eyes with freckles. My oldest is always dark. So that was there surprise shopping trip. Oh NO!! Rear-ender

As like the title say this is about a wreck. Well Charlie left this morning about 6 Am heading to Mobile for work. He was rushing around this morning and would not slow down. He called me at 9:15AM. He has rear-ended a lady. He said there was no damage to the truck he was driving nor the ladies car.

This is how he said it happened. They was coming of Interstate 65 on the off ramp in Saraland. They lady pulled up to the yield sign and stopped. She sat there a few minutes. She proceeds to get on the road. At this time Charlie goes to look to his left and ease off the brake. As soon as he eases pressure of break. She slams on brakes. He bumps her in the rearend. He said the truck was maybe going 2mph.

When he gets out to check on the lady and call 911 to do a report she asks to go to ER, because she said that he hit her hard and hurt her neck. So needless to say the took her on a backboard to hospital. What makes this so bad is that the women is a RN at the Hospital they are taking her too. This was a company truck that Charlie was driving so unsure if they are going to let him drive anymore trucks because of this. His boss said he was going to let the insurance company handle it since there was no actual damage done to the car.

So I guess you can say: What a day! HUH!

SURPRISE around every corner.

It has been a couple weeks since I have updated whats gone on. So here goes. We took Carolyn to Fort Pickens in Pensacola, FL on May 22, 2010. She really liked it. She had alot of questions about the walls and canons. We then took the scenic route to Destin, FL. We got a hotel for the night. We did not know we would be spending the night anywhere. So we went and got some new cloths and also got Brand new baiting suits for the season. She got a black OP baithingsuit with hot and neon colors on it. I got a Brown OP with orange and pink on it. We took her to the pool to let her play. She can not swim, so we was trying to teach her how to. She started doggy paddleing pretty good. We played to about 10 mins before the pool closed. We went back to the room and got ready to head to the beach. She was looking for shells to begin with, but then her daddy got her sand crabbing. He would hold the flashlight on the crab and she would sneak around to toss the net on him. Everytime she catch one she just smile really big and squeal. It just made our day seeing her have fun. She caught about 20 crabs. Well when we started to get ready to go her and daddy let them all go. Those crazy crabs started run towards me and I left them behind laughing at me. I think they did that just to laugh at me.

Also the girls are out of school now. Courtney made the A&B Honor roll. She will be going into the 6th grade this coming school year. Vicki did not make the Honor roll, but she will be entering into the 5th grade. Carolyn made the Straight A honor roll. She will be in 2nd grade this coming school year.

Carolyn has left for the summer. She has went to Indiana to her Dads house. He works doing carnival games. So she is with him working most of the time. She has rode every ride except a few. I will keep posting more on her trip in other post.

Courtney and Vicki are ready for VBS (Vacation Bible School) to start up. There first one is tonight at 5:45pm at a local church. Then they got a daytime one in the morning at 8:30am at another local church. The one tonight will be everynight til Thursday. The one in the morning will be every morning til friday morning, but they have a Family Fun Night on Friday Night.

Also my Birthday was June 2. It was a ok day. I just stayed home all day in my night cloths. I will be haven something for my birthday. My hubby is taking me to Shipwreck Island on the 19th of June. My parents are also going with us, too. We will be staying the night down there.

Vicki went to the Allergy Specialist. Well she is allergic to cats ( I think most people are), Grass (another most people are), Dust mites (both kinds), Mold (7 types), and PORK. Do you realize pork is in almost everything you can buy. Well the doctor give use EpiPens. So we have them in case something happens.

Courtney went to the dentist and had 2 teeth pulled one on top and one on bottom. Her mouth is still sore she said. She had this done on Monday June 1.

Well now that we are all caught up. This weekend we worked in the yard andcut the grass and cut down some bushes. We also are about to go wash the company truck and get everything ready for another week in the Nowling household. So everyone have Great day!! Hope to heard from you soon. Bye til the next post.

Summer is almost here.

Good Morning all! We have been cleaning around my house rearranging rooms and getting ready for the summer fun. We are planning on going to Mobile in the next week or so. We will be going down on a Friday and coming home on a Sunday. That is where Charlie lives Monday to Friday. Also the girls have alot of different school things happening too. Courtney has a concert coming up next month. She also has Field Day this Friday. Vicki has a class trip to the Middle School to met with the Fifth Grade teachers. Awards day is approaching too. Carolyn is excited that she will be getting awards for straight A's. Also Courtney is A's and B's again. Vicki's grades have started coming up. What is so weird is she waited to the end of the year to do it.

Also, a little good news for our family. My niece has got her colostomy bag removed and is going to be able to go swimming like normal kids this SUMMER!!

Intro

Hi all!! I am not good with this so here goes. My name is Carrie Nowling. I am married to Charles Nowling. We have been friends since Middle School. We got married on October 31, 2009. Yes, that is Halloween Day! We have had are ups and downs like any couple, but we still love each other. We have 3 Beautiful little girls. Our oldest is Courtney Elisabeth. She is 11 years old. She was accepted into Duke University Talent Program. She also is in the top 98% of her grade with her GPA. Next is Victoria Lynn. She likes to be called Vicki. She is about to turn 10 on May 17. She is what people would call a GRANNY's BABY. Last but not least is our baby girl Carolyn Ann. She is 7 years old, but turns 8 this coming December.

I am a stay at home mother. So while I am at home I craft and as you can see I have started to blog abou it. My sweet hubby has stared up my own business doing this. I will only be doing craft shows and festivals. He also has started me a page on FACEBOOK. My business name is Aqua Dots BOWtique.
